He'd looked in every room, and he meant every room, looking for Liz. There was a mission that he wanted to get to before any of the other students, so he needed her asap, but no matter where he'd looked, he couldn't seem to find the older sister. "PATTTIIIIIII!" Kid screamed, running into a large room with a long, wide dining table stuck in the center of it, ornaments and chairs arranged on either side to make it symmetrical. Kid looked around the room and saw no Liz- Oh no. "LIIIIZ?!" He shouted, even though it was clear that Liz wasn't there. He crawled into a corner of the room, as a dark aura began to surround him. "I'm such a failure... I can't even fight, I'm a worthless bastard who doesn't deserve to be a shinigami... Oh honourable father, forgive me..." He mumbled to himself, depressive lines surrounding him.

Patti watched as Kid-kun curled up in the corner. Curious, she went over to him and leaned over his curled up body, listening to his whining. "Kid-kun...? Are you alright...?" She then proceeded to poke him a few times to make sure that he was still alive and saw that he was shivering.
She wasn't going to laugh at the little display that Kid was giving, she was going to act concerned for once. But first, she had to make sure that he was alive. This process included her poking his body a couple of times.
"Kid-kun...? Are you alive??" Her childish ways were showing more.

((Siiiiiiiiinnnnnnnce Spirit can't post, I'll post in his stead. I'll post for him if I have to, I'll just make sure that you know when it's me and when it's him.))
Professor Stein had to deliver the bad news. The little letter that Liz had left on his desk before she mysteriously disappeared. It said that she had to find something, but nobody really knew what it was. When he first read it, he started making jokes about her finding her fear of ghosts and destroying it or something stupid like that. He was truly crazy.
He walked up to Death the Kid's home, and proceeded to knock on his door. "Oi, Kid! There's a letter here for you! You'll never guess who they're from!" Stein was pretty sure that Kid was up and probably already found out that Liz was gone.
Stein could already see Kid's reaction, freaking out as normal because the room lacked symmetry without Liz. It made him smile on the outside, but burst into maddening laughter on the inside. Instead of letting that laughter out, he started to twist the screw in his head. What did it really do? Well, it made his brain release special endorphins that made him distracted from normal thoughts. He designed this screw for that specific reason.
Sporting his normal, sewn together clothes and his usual dumbfounded expression while twisting the screw in his head, he waited for Kid to answer the door and read the letter. Besides the text on the page, the paper was perfectly symmetrical with the borders around the outside. It looked quite nice.

"N-no symmet-try..." Kid was still in his depressive state in the corner. "Go get the door, Patti..." He mumbled, now on his hands and knees, "I'm too worthless... I fail... I'm a stupid bastard who can't do anything... I disgrace you honourable father..." He cursed himself, his mood getting fouler by the minute. [Short post is short, sorry, it's really late ]

"Otaaaaay." Patti stood up straight and walked over to the door. She listened to the door to see if she could hear anything before opening it. "Welcome! Kid-kun isn't in the best... Oh hi Stein-senpai!" Patti smiled and stepped aside. "It might not be the best time to see Kid-kun. Liz kind of left and now he's on the floor again. If it weren't for his symmetry thingy, I would guess that Kid-kun had a crush on my sister."
Patti laughed her childish laugh before prancing back into the room. "I'll go make some coffee for Stein-sempai!"

((Note: Spirit won't be able to post for a while, sadly. His computer is having issues with proboards.))
"Ah, why thank you Patti." Stein walked in and went over to Death the Kid. He crouched down and looked over the curled up shinigami. "Shape up, soldier. How are we going to go find Liz like this?" Instead of sporting any happy expression, any dumbfounded look on his face or anything of that sort, his expression was very serious. It was almost scary to see Stein like this.
"Get up and quit sniveling in the corner. If we're going to find Liz, we're going to need you." Stein was ready to go out and look with them. And, even if he regretted it and wished for a better partner, he would use Patti if Kid wouldn't. Not much of the weapon, especially when Stein loved to be hands on. But, if push came to shove, he would have to do something to protect all three of them. Since he was the best weapons meister, he would do it.
"So, are you going to get up and maybe have a cup of coffee or are you going to lie there and wait for the best? You are worthy of being a Shinigami, aren't you? It wasn't your fault that Liz left, but you're gonna damn well fix it aren't you?" Stein still had his serious expression and waited for Kid to get up. He was hoping that his little 'pep talk' wasn't too much.

Kid got up, standing tall. Of course he was going to be worthy of being a great Shinigami! In fact, he already was! Who could doubt him? "I-I was not snivelling. I was merely worrying about Liz's health and safety! I mean, it's not me that is worrying the most, I think that poor Patti here is worrying a lot aswel!" Kid countered- Well, tried to-, as he kept his straight stature. It was then that he started to worry again, as he saw Patti but no Liz. How would he fight without another gun, how would he be symmetrical? He had to have a perfectly aligned, symmetrical battle stanse, or he wouldn't be respected! His hair shadowed his face over, as he wavered a bit on the spot, shaking.

Patti came out of the kitchen holding a tray with three cups on it, arranged so that they would be symmetrical. "Who is Patti worrying about?" She had a confused expression on her face before she set the tray on the table and went to join the conversation.
What had they been talking about? Was it about her? If one of them had a crush on her, they had better confess now or she was going to be hurting someone! "Oh, Stein-sempai. The coffee is ready for you. I made it black so you can put whatever else you want in it." Patti turned to Kid-kun. "So who's worrying about who again? I want to know! I want to know!!" Patti looked like she was about to throw a tantrum.

((Lol.
"I... I have something to tell you Patti... I... I think your coffee is the worst in the world! Now I know why Kid misses Liz so much!!"))
Stein sat beside the table and took a cup. It was black alright. It almost looked unappetizing, seeming like it was filled with raw sewage or something to make it that black. He put his finger in it to make sure that there wasn't anything there. Well, there wasn't, so he took a drink. "..." He spat it out while nobody was looking. It tasted awful! He would warn Kid about the coffee, but how would he do it without hurting Patti?
Hopefully, Kid didn't like coffee. Hopefully. "Oi, Kid! When you're done over there, we need to talk about forming a search party to find Liz!"

Kid straightened himself up. "As the respectful person and shinigami I am, I shall be the one to rescue her! I shall eliminate any monster that will harm someone from my team and make it un-symmetrical!" Kid stood tall, snatching up a cup of coffee and taking a victory gulp... Well, he drank it all, immediately gagging on the taste. "P-Patti, what is this?!" Kid asked quickly, looking around for something to wash the lingering taste away.

"Well I didn't know how to make coffee so I took some of the beans, crushed 'em up, and put 'em in hot water!" Patti smiled, feeling accomplished. "It works with tea leaves, doesn't it? Why shouldn't it work with coffee beans?" She was really confused on why Kid-kun was gagging. "Did I not put enough sugar in it or something?" She walked over and looked closely at the remaining cup on the table.
She picked it up and smelled it. "It smells the same... We also didn't have any cream so I put soy sauce in it. It tastes good with everything else, so why not coffee?" She kept looking at the cup. Should she have taken a drink before she served it. "Eh... I'll just make some tea next time."

"S-Soy sauce?" Stein set his cup back onto the tray. "Alright. So. All we have to lead us is this little letter." He held up the paper that was left on his desk. "A few problems. How do we know that it was Liz that wrote it? Also, what would she be looking for? And where would she find it?" Stein had a very serious tone now.
Seriously, where would they even start searching for her? The only person that would have a clue would be Patti. The problem with her was that she didn't take things seriously, so what were they going to do? They could search the town for different clues. Maybe? Who knew?
